This week we were visited by Coram Scarf Life Tent, who delivered a series of engaging and exciting mental wellbeing workshops to our classes. We learned about nature's calming effects, how to find our inner resilience, how to appreciate ourselves, the tools we can use to recognise our emotions and feel safe, calm and confident, and how to set ourselves goals and overcome obstacles. We also thought about what we are grateful for.

On Tuesday we watched our five school bands who have lessons with iRock perform their first gig - the bands were incredible and they've made so much progress. Lots of our children were interested in joining a school band next term - an email about taster sessions has been sent to all parents. Well done to all those who took part, we really enjoyed it!

We welcomed the Scholastic Book Fair this week - it will be with us until Tuesday, open after school each day. There is a fantastic range of books available and some lovely Christmas present ideas. Our school can earn free books for every book sold - please do support us by having a browse.

As we've stepped into our final weeks of rehearsals for Christmas productions, our children have worked incredibly hard to learn their lines, stage positions and songs. We cannot wait to show you over the next two weeks what we've been practising! Please ensure all costumes are in school on Monday as EYFS/KS1 will have their dress rehearsal. Tickets are still available for each production, on both Tuesday and Wednesday - please contact the office if you'd like any more seats. The PCA will be selling refreshments, so please bring along some change.

Thank you for the donations for our PCA Christmas Fayre bottle stall, as well as raffle, teddy and tombola prizes that have been arriving over the last few weeks. The fayre is next Thursday, 4th December, from 3pm-4.30pm and we look forward to you joining us.

Our school will have a Christmas tree at Rothwell Holy Trinity Church Christmas Tree Festival between next Friday 5th-Monday 8th December - please pop along to see our decorations!

We have a few events and activities coming up over the next three weeks - please check the upcoming dates section below. Next Thursday, 4th December, we are holding a writing day. This is a surprise for the children and a letter will be sent next week outlining further details - please do not mention it to your children!

Best wishes,

Miss Hannant
