Inside Rushton - 17.10.25

As we come to the end of a busy first half-term, I'd like to say a huge thank you to our families, pupils and community for their support so far this academic year. Our children have been afforded so many opportunities to engage in high-quality learning, sports and enrichment events and social activities with friends and families, and it really does make a huge difference to have our parents and volunteers from the community working with us to make it all possible.

On Monday our PCA hosted their first disco of the year and we had plenty of ghosts, ghouls and witches dancing away! Thank you for supporting them to fundraise for our school.

Yesterday, we hosted a charity brunch in aid of MIND. It was so lovely to be able to welcome family members in to school to take some time to enjoy a chat and snack with us. Today Year 1 & 2 enjoyed a royal day of coronation celebrations as they finalised their topic 'Childhood', focussing on the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. They looked incredible in their regal outfits and have been able to hear first-hand memories of the event from one pupil's family member who was at the event! They've also listened to and reflected on music from the coronation era.

We have once again had a number of recent parking queries raised by our neighbours. We are very aware that there is limited space in the village to park, and that many families use the cricket club or pub car parks. Please make sure if you must park roadside that you are not blocking access to private property, and if you are able to safely walk to school please do. Thank you for your cooperation.
