Thank you to the parents that joined us for our information events this week for Year 6 SATS, Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check and Year 1 Phonics Screening Check. Working together with our families really supports our children to meet their potential and be successful. If you were unable to attend, copies of the slides are attached with the newsletter. On Tuesday we had our individual and sibling photographs in school - the proofs should come home today for you to place your orders directly with Tempest.

One of our Year 5 pupils has been thinking about how to show responsibility and care in school, and has organsied a 'Buddy Club' to run at lunch times next week. She has presented her club to the school and recruited volunteer 'Buddies!' If your child is not sure what to play or who to play with at lunch time, Buddy Club will be in the Pod every lunch. Well done for your preparation, hard work and dedication over the Christmas break! Miss Padgett is also running singing, dancing and performing arts clubs on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday in the Nest. We had an energetic and busy start to performance clubs this week and the children really enjoyed them!

May I ask all parents to help us minimise the risk of choking in school - please ensure all grapes are cut in half length ways (not width ways), and not to send boiled sweets, cough sweets, mini eggs or chewing gum to school. We remind children not to run while eating and not to put choke hazards in their mouth (e.g. pen lids, small toys) and appreciate your support with this. Thank you.

A gentle reminder to everyone to please park considerately outside of school - our neighbours are very patient and understand that the village has minimal parking space, but please do not block access to private property - even if your stop is brief - and try to use the cricket club car park, pub car park or streets a little further away from the school gate to help keep the area safe and clear. Thank you.
