Inside Rushton - 12.06.26

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week we have been practising for Sports Day next Friday – the children are very excited to support their house teams (and we hope the parents are looking forward to their parent & child races too!) If you have a spare gazebo we can borrow for the day, we’d be very grateful! Please see the letter sent earlier this week for kit and timings.

Year 5/6 children took part in a football tournament at Montsaye on Monday with our local schools and had a very enjoyable morning. Well done to all that took part.

Year 1 completed their Phonics Screening Check on Monday and we WEre very impressed with their effort and concentration. Results for the PSC and Multiplication Tables Check will be available from Monday 22nd June.

Please can I remind everyone to come to school in appropriate uniform – navy trousers/ skirt/tailored shorts, navy jumper/cardigan/fleece, sky blue polo shirt. On PE days children should wear a navy jumper/fleece/ hoodie, navy shorts or trousers and a sky blue t-shirt. Sensible trainers - not astro shoes or football boots- should be worn on PE days and black shoes should be worn on all other days, unless explicitly agreed with staff otherwise.

Our PCA Summer Fair is coming up at the end of term. If any parents are able to help run a stall or prepare any activities, please contact the school office.
