Happy new year!
Welcome back to school, it's been so lovely to see everyone again and hear all about the children's Christmas breaks. We've had a chilly start to the term, thank you for providing warm coats and spare footwear! Please ensure all items in school are named - including uniform, coats, shoes (if spares are brought in) and gloves if possible. If your child outgrows their wellies, we're always grateful for spares to be donated to school.
We've had a busy week with swimming lessons starting, science days, new topics and lots of learning across the curriculum! Well done to all of the children for getting stuck in, working hard and being so positive and enthusiastic in their learning.
On Tuesday we have our school photos with Tempest - please ensure children are in full uniform and not PE kit on Tuesday. Individual and sibling photos will be available, please see previous emails from the school office for further details.
Next week we have our information evenings for Year 6 SATS (Tuesday 3.30pm), Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check (Wednesday 3.30pm) and Year 1 Phonics Screening Check (Thursday 2.45pm). All information will be sent electronically after the information evenings if you are unable to attend.
We've made the decision to move our school uniform supplier to a local company, Karl Sports, based in Kettering. They have bought all remaining stock from our previous supplier and have a limited amount in store ready to collect. Any orders for new uniform not in stock will be available from next week. Karl Sports are a leading local supplier who offer high-quality school and sports wear, and we're excited to build a long partnership with them. Hopefully families will find being able to pop in store to try on sizes, or collect items without having to wait for delivery more beneficial.
May I remind parents that you must bring your child to gate before school and ring the bell if using Rhino Wraparound Care, unfortunately staff are not able to bring children into school from the street or parked cars due to safeguarding and insurance. Thank you for your cooperation.
Reception 2026 admissions close on Thursday 15th January - if your child has a sibling who is due to start school in September, please ensure you have applied for a school place before then. If you have friends or family who have a child due to start school in September, please encourage them to contact us to arrange a visit. Thank you.
